I joined the faculty at Niagara University in 1992. I am presently a professor in the Department of Biology. I serve the Pre Health Advisor for the University, and have been the chairperson of the Committee on College Teaching and Learning, and the Taskforce on Active and Integrative Learning. At Niagara University, I teach courses in human anatomy and physiology, comparative animal physiology, pharmacology, cell biology and natural history. I am also an adjunct professor in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics at the SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. I am a Carnegie Scholar of the Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. I am a member of the Faculty for the 21st Century sponsored by Project Kaleidoscope. I contribute to the annual faculty workshop sponsored by the National Center for Case Study Teaching in Science at the University of Buffalo. I am on the editorial board of Advances in Physiology Education.
