JMBE Materials for Review (June 2014 edition)

Dear Biology Scholars-

Greetings! My name is Phil Mixter (Assessment 2011) and I am the incoming reviews editor for The Journal of Microbiology and Biology Education (JMBE).  I’m succeeding Ruth Gyure in this capacity and looking to the Scholars community to both provide insights into new titles on horizon as well as provide reviews of resources that engage you.

Below is a list of items for review for our June 2014 issue.  If you are interested and qualified to provide a review, please respond to me directly ( and not through this listserve.  In general, preferences are given to those new authors and those familiar with the material reviewed, especially if you’ve used it in your teaching.  You can access more information regarding the responsibility of reviewers through a 10-minute narrated tutorial on the JMBE website (

If you have other questions or suggestions, feel free to contact me at any time-

Phil Mixter
