WENDY GRILLO--Given that my project focuses on a general biology course, I plan on presenting my research at science or general education meetings rather than larger research focused meetings. I was previously a member of Soc. for Neuroscience, but their education component truly focuses on neuroscience. Perhaps if I find a research study to do with the neuroscience course I teach, I can present there in the future.

I will be presenting a poster on part of my research at the Lilly Conference on College and University Teaching at Greensboro. My proposal is entitled "Evaluating the Students' Motivation to Learn Science in an Introductory Biology Course" and focuses on a survey that was given to the students.

A few other possibilities to present my research in the future are at the following conferences:
--Association for College & University Biology Educators (ACUBE); the 2010 conference is October 8th - 9th, 2010 at Lourdes College in Sylvania Ohio (outside of Toledo)
--The Association of Southeastern Biologists. I missed the deadline for their 2010 meeting in Asheville NC in April, but I could aim for the 2011 meeting in Hunstville AL
--THe National Association of Biology Teachers (NABT) whose 2010 conference is in Nov. in Minneapolis
--Or a regional or national meeting for the Society for College Science Teachers. I already missed the deadlines for their 2010 meetings, but I could aim for 2011.
